The Regulations
There are substantial changes to the underbody aerodynamics mainly concentrated at the rear of the car. In the 2003 regulations, the car had a flat bottom.
The main points are: 7 degree ramped stepped underbody, rear underbody with tunnels, 20mm thick plate ('plank'), smaller rear wing, secondary roll structures and additional integral structure added to monocoque for driver head protection.
